Sam began his professional journey as an engineer, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Information Technology and Telecommunications from the University of Adelaide. However, his true calling emerged when he discovered a passion for working directly with people and helping them navigate real-world financial challenges. This led him to the mortgage and finance industry, where he has built a successful and highly respected career.
Born in Malaysia and fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Sam brings a rich multicultural perspective to his work. Now proudly based in Perth, he enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and building strong, lasting relationships.
When he’s not crafting the perfect loan solution, Sam loves exploring Western Australia’s stunning landscapes — often found 4WDing, camping, or caravanning. And if he doesn’t pick up your call right away, rest assured he’s either with a client, meeting a referral partner, or out making sure the next loan approval comes through quickly.

Jovy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism and Hotel Management — but life had other plans. She found her true calling in the banking and finance industry, where she has built a thriving 17-year career helping clients achieve their property, business, and financial goals.
Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and English, Jovy connects with a diverse range of clients and communities, building strong, lasting relationships. Clients value her clear communication, market knowledge, and genuine commitment to making the lending process smooth, transparent, and stress-free. She prides herself on delivering tailored solutions that not only meet immediate needs but also position her clients for long-term success.
Originally from the coastal city of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Jovy now calls Perth home. Outside of work, she’s a dedicated cricket fan and team manager for her son’s junior cricket team. She’s also passionate about health and fitness, often found at the gym keeping a healthy balance between her career and personal life.

With three decades with a foreign bank, across progressively senior roles, Julie has built deep expertise in customer service, lending, and credit risk. After migrating to Australia, she has broadened her perspective in broker support and credit management, partnering closely with clients and lenders to structure deals that work in the real world. Since 2020 she has been with Loan Hunter, where she has helped take the firm to the next level—standardising processes, lifting conversion and turnaround times, mentoring new team members, and applying her credit knowledge to navigate complex scenarios. She is passionate about clear communication, disciplined file quality, and finding solutions that keep clients confident from lodgement to settlement.

With a strong background in customer service and support, John Leoneil Cucal has worked across industries helping clients resolve issues and achieve their goals. His experience ranges from customer care and technical troubleshooting to online content moderation, building a reputation for professionalism and reliability. Since joining Loan Hunter in January 2024, John has specialised in broker support—managing loan applications from submission to settlement, liaising with clients, lenders, and partners, and ensuring each step of the process runs smoothly. His clear communication, attention to detail, and commitment to outstanding service make him an invaluable part of the team.
